Amber and Daniel's Wedding

Can I just tell you how much I love to shoot weddings? What a priviledge to be part of a bride's special day! I had a great time with this couple! It was very hot two weeks ago Saturday, so we didn't spend as much time taking pictures outside as we were hoping. The bride and groom did did very well enduring the heat though. They had a lovely ceremony in Lawrence. The day was just perfect!
Check out their slideshow at amberdaniel.haleyphotography.net. You can see their wedding images at www.haleyphotography.com then click Clients then Weddings then click on their picture. All of their images will be up this weekend.
Enjoy!

I'm So Far Behind on My Blog, But Having Fun!

I can't believe that it's been over two months since I've written on my blog! I'm practicing what I preach about prioritizing, and the blog just had to wait. In the last two months, I have photographed 3 weddings (1 in Florida to help my stepdaughter), 2 pregnancies, 3 engagements,
3 families, 3 newborns, 27 seniors, as well as prom, track, stu co, swim team, and graduation. Whew! I'm tired! It's been a blast though.
Here are a few senior pictures. I love the large wall portrait as well as the 5x30" collage.
Enjoy!

Check out this hand painted oil portrait that one of my clients commissioned me to do. I loved taking their pictures! And this oil portrait is so cool!

Tim Senior Pictures

I had a great time with Tim and his mom yesterday. Tim was not really looking forward to his photoshoot, but I think it ended up being a much better experience than he expected. I am so glad that he brought his bass and his "25 cent" white t-shirt. This former halloween costume was supposed to be his undershirt, but I thought it was cool and asked if we could do some pictures in it. I just love it!
I think we got some great shots and I'm thankful that Tim survived the session with me and his mom! Click on the link below for Tim's slideshow. Enjoy!

Hot Springs, AR

I had the pleasure of going to Hot Springs, AR last week for a photography class at the Delta School of Photography. We had a little time before class started on Sunday, so we walked down Bath House Row and took some pictures. We got to go inside the museum, which is what you see above. These bath houses pulled in water from the natural hot springs right behind them. The bath houses had individual rooms with bath tubs, showers, and steam chambers. We also walked to the rocks where the hot spring came out. The water really was hot! If you look closely, you can actually see some of the steam coming off the water.
The photography class was very intense since it was about one semester of college in 3.5 very long days. My brain still hurts! They had a trade show where I bought some really cool frames that you can order. You'll have to check out the square frame with space for one 12x12 and twelve 5x5 prints. It will be great for senior pictures as well as weddings and babies.

Clint and Amy Pre-Engagement Pictures

I guess I shouldn't call these pre-engagement pictures because Clint and Amy are already engaged. These are the pictures taken before the engagement pictures. I went with Clint and Amy on Saturday to check out their reception venue. It is so cool! I had my camera with me(where else would it be?), so I couldn't resist getting some shots overlooking downtown while they were looking so adorable. You must see the Terrace on Grand (www.terraceongrand.com). It's a brand new venue that's just opening in the next week or two. I also got to meet their caterer, Marilyn, of www.marilynsevents.com. She's got some amazing decorations!
Clint and Amy are a fun, young couple, and I can't wait to take their real engagement pictures later this spring and shoot their wedding this summer. Clint figured out very quickly that there is no such thing as "just a few pictures". We are going to have a blast!
Check out their slideshow for more images inside and out:
Enjoy!

Jake and Emma Wedding

Wow! I cannot believe it has been 2 months since I've posted on my blog. I have done quite a few photo shoots since then, but have been too busy to update my blog. Enough moaning...
I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding this past weekend for a wonderful young couple. I shot Emma's sister's wedding a few years ago, so it was fun to be a part of another significant family event. Of course, Emma was a stunning bride. Her hair was elegantly pulled back into a low bun. She wore a gorgeous lace dress. She also wore a beautiful family heirloom fur since it was so cold outside. And Jake looked very handsome as well. I hope Jake didn't feel left out when I took 10 times more pictures of Emma than I did of him. There's just something about the bride that photographer's just can't get enough of!
Check out these fun images. I also created a slideshow that brings tears to my eyes. I'll have more pictures on my website soon. Enjoy!
